The people in the Paleontology Shitposting group I created (Paleontology Coproliteposting) took the Cambrian stem-Arthropod Opabinia, which became famous as a meme where it collects "Bepis and Dorit", and turned it into A FUCKING ANIME GIRL
For the coloration, I looked at a bunch of arboreal reptile species, large and small. It's harder than I thought to give it the loose, splotchy look of reptile coloration without losing the semblance of an actual pattern. #paleoart #sciart #scientificillustration #Trilophosaurus
#VisibleWomen Hey! I'm Stephanie, an aspiring paleoartist and scientific illustrator. My roots are in fantasy creatures, and use my zoology knowhow to make them plausible!

Sometimes you just gotta ask yourself...if I don't make a super spiny Trilophosaurus, who will? #paleoart #paleontology #sciart #scientificillustration #wip #allokotosauria
I just took part on @JoschuaKnuppe #paleostream! It's been quite a while since I participated in one. I'm still getting the feeling for quick sketches like these, not exactly great
1) Azhdarcho fishing at dawn in a brackish lake
2) Three Sachicasaurus approach the water's surface
The memes with these 2 write themselves, folks. #Azendohsaurus #Shringasaurus #paleoart #paleontology #fossils #sciart #scientificillustration
Highlights from the style #paleostream II. Me and @TurboBirbo talked about the present, potential and importance of non-paleoart on paleoart. Here some of the things I scribbled while we were talking. #paleoart #dinosaurs #pterosaurs #art #sciart

In order: Azendhosaurus skeletal from the Nesbitt et. al monograph. Shringasaurus skeletal from Saradee Sengupta & colleagues. And Ashley's skeletal #paleontology #fossils #paleo #sciart #scientificillustration
We have a new dude walking in the #Upper #Cretaceous of #Spain. Welcome to #Pareisactus evrostos. This new taxon were recovered as a member of Rhabdodontida. Congrats @AlbertPrietoMa1 #dinosaurs #españa #science #paleontology
Another new dinosaur for 2019 already? Pleased to be able to show my #paleoart of the new Tanzanian sauropod Mnyamawamtuka moyowamkia, named today by Eric Gorscak and Patrick O’Connor. The paper is available here (and is open access): https://t.co/pUR935gMKY

An amateur paleontologist found this controversial #pterosaur in a locality called Bob's Vacation Site in 1991. Its genus name means "chicken" in the Blackfoot language, a nod to its original but mistaken identity as a bird. #science #fossils https://t.co/WS3rtAuoUq
I’m just a tad late to the party, but here’s some #walkingwhales for #DarwinDay! Working out designs for the animation I’m putting together for Honors in Studio Art. Pictured here are Indohyus, Pakicetus, Ambulocetus, Kutchicetus, Rodhocetus, and Georgiacetus. #paleoart
Today is #DarwinDay and it is also #PterosaurPtuesday so I thought it was the perfect chance to show you part of the trees of the tetrapods of theSolnhofen Formation from Germany that will appear on my in-prep book. Part of the pterosaur tree from Solnhofen #paleoart #sciart
Sketching this reconstruction of the European wukongopterid Cuspicephalus. It is inspired by the beautiful reconstruction of the same sp by @MarkWitton because I love the idea of those huge quillworts and these pterosaurs foraging for prey amidst them #paleoart #PterosaurPtuesday
It's #DarwinDay, which is all the excuse I need to post this #paleoart of the large aquatic sloth Thalassocnus. Darwin never knew of this species or the awesomeness of aquatic sloths in general, but he recovered many bones of other large and giant extinct sloths in his travels.
