I didn't find the time or ability to finish any of my ongoing projects so I just sat my ass down and started practicing a kill I'm lacking for a long time now, retopology, and I have a long way to go, but it is a wonder how a good reference can help your progress.

The dev asked me to mimic the style of Soejima who is responsible for the aesthetic of Persona/ Catherine. I morphed the OG model's topology and repainted it to achieve this result. Here are the old WIP screenshots took back then leading up to the final result to prove this.

So I lied to you all and once again posting a WIP. This time I finished up all the armour pieces.

I've kept all the topology super nice and clean so I'm gonna take this into substance and do a proper texture and make this into a real-time piece.

A few updates with the sculpting. Getting close to the part where I pull out all my hair retopologizing this creature. If ya see something off or think I should add something feel free to comment below as this is my first attempt at making something to this scale.

texture painting finished (for now) and baked down to single diffuse/roughness/normal maps

this also turned out pretty well, so now it's time to move on to retopologizing and painting the feral mode, then rigging them both

Aaaaaahh retopolgy is such a slow process but it's kind of relaxing just tracing over your sculpt. Hopefully I can finish this tomorrow? This part isn't hard, just slow and therapeutic to me.

The way I snapped with this retopology... Legs are still WIP. But I feel like the torso is good to go. NGL im kinda proud of myself for this uwu (Head and hands are from the game files)
