Here’s some art. The first one is like just colors and a color reference for my reconstruction of the spino. The second one is a random drawing that I named sagittarius a because the dude had a black hole on his shoulder, and the third one was for new years (year of the bull).
FILM OF THE DAY: Fascinating 2009 documentary/reconstruction of abandoned 1964 #French psychological thriller from ‘The Gallic Hitchcock’ #HenriGeorgesClouzot Original unfinished #movie featured trippy cinematic elements & spellbinding #RomySchneider #LEnfer #1960s #SergeBromberg
Alice B. Woodward was primarily known for her children's storybook illustrations, but she also did scientific illustrations (including dinosaur reconstructions for the Illustrated London News), art for 2 Gilbert & Sullivan operas & was a tutor to the artist Cicely Mary Barker.
Drew a stegosaurus based on @thepaintpaddock reconstruction. I based the pose on Sophie from the natural history museum in London. I entered the contest on insta so I won’t do it here
Why did it take 55 years for paleontologists to get suspicious that their reconstruction of Tsintaosaurus had a gaping hole in the middle of its cranium? Instead of assuming it was filled with bone they went "oh ok so the hole housed a pair of ballsacs"
10/10 I’ll sign off with 2 of my favorites that show the range of Piet de Jong as an artist & the variety of objects from the Agora.
The first is a helmeted terracotta head reconstructed from many fragments & the second expertly captures shadows falling on a Pergamene capital!
Gight Castle, Aberdeenshire (Scotland) layout sketch and finished watercolour reconstruction suggestion. L-Plan Keep built by the Gordon family. Site more famous for being the ancestral home of Lord Byron. #GightCastle #ScottishCastles #HistoryRebuilt

Hi I'm Emily, most of my work consists of muscle diagrams and life reconstructions of extinct animals but I also make skeletal drawings and the ever elusive 'anime' sometimes. #PortfolioDay
Apparently it's #PortfolioDay, so here I go:
Howdeedoodlethere, I'm a #paleoartist focusing on #palaobotanical reconstructions and specimen drawings ... oh and I occasionally illustrate fluffy #dinosaurs too.
@JamesKelly Did watercolour reconstructions of Dunbar Castle in the 1980's. Just transferred info gathered on to Paint versions in recent years on Twitter.
#Archaeology31 catch up Day 8: Decolonize
For my post-doc, an overarching goal is to help #decolonize #Aztec human sacrifice w/in academia & more globally. I plan to reconstruct the lives of sacrifices to provide a humane & bottom-up view using cutting-edge scientific methods 1/n
Reconstruction (again) of a Tyrannosaurus rex
#Tyrannosaurusrex #zbrush #dinosaurs
@arvalis @Just_Archey @alexriesart Honestly it holds up quite well, the only thing I can pinpoint is the skull, it should have more meat on the back and it should be bigger but this reconstruction is still very good imo, especially how you did the soft tissue on the body and such
#Archaeology31 #move
On the move in the #Roman empire: Mobility both in Roman administration and military was of great importance. The career of Titus Varius Clemens from Celeia (Celje, Slovenia), which lasted more than 40 years, can be reconstructed... 1/2
#RomanArchaeology
@19clinton Alan Sorrell had a thing about beams of light in his reconstruction drawings. Tried to copy this effect in Paint as a homage to Sorrell.
Many of the most important fossils of human relatives are distorted or fragmented. TM 1517 is the holotype of Paranthropus robustus, found in 1938. Here I've done a reconstruction by mirror-imaging the parts that survived fossilization and erosion. #paleoanthropology #hominin
Apparently #Velociraptor is trending so here is two reconstruction I’ve done of it. Velociraptor is a very different animal than many people think, but it is still incredibly cool

"In these oddly artificial places, there is a paradoxical crossover between the representational conventions of the theatre and the immersive reconstruction of a real scene." https://t.co/pR3IdHipyl
