can anybody give me some tips? i made the hair (red object) on this model and i want to smooth out the edges for the render, but subdivision surfaces just will not work with me here. i've tried edge crease, bevel, inset faces, and just... nothing will work.

Not very pretty progress, but i tried sculpting first and didn't liked how it was going so I scratched it and tried doing topology right away. Is not as organic but i feel like i have more control over the result

Trying to figure out the topology for a doggo has been interesting to say the least, gonna need to somehow cleanly fill in that hole and reduce topology to connect with the body.

Ive finished the basic model now, just gotta rig it for animation now. Im very pleased with this for my first project on blender. These are only screencaps of the model though.
