🦖 Daily Dino 🦖; Giganotosaurus carolinii
From the Candaleros Formation of Argentina, this gargantuan predator could have rivaled T. rex in size. Its blade-like "shark teeth" were perfectly adapted to slice off sauropod flesh, though it didn't live alongside Argentinosaurus

Ever wonder just how much bigger the huge titanosaurs were than many of the sauropods we typically see in museums? These pics by @flygirlNHM might help!
#Unaysaurus was a sauropodomorph from #Brazil ~225mya. Known from a partial ~2m long individual, it is one of the earliest members of the long-neck lineage - still very close to the base of dinosauria (which evolved only a few million years earlier).

Big things.
Concept sketches and final artwork for Project:Tepui’s biggest sauropod.
Yet another paper of our @AnatRecord Special Issue "The dawn of an Era: Comparative and functional anatomy of Triassic tetrapods" was published today. This time, @tito_aureliano et al. assess the origin of sauropodomorph air sacs. Submissions still open!

@Luismondkatze01 Ostriches have managed to remain rather successful in Africa, even being able to make their way out of Africa during the ice age. However on Swahilia, these birds have rekindle The success of the sauropod relative, reaching 3. 4 m at the hip, they are the biggest bird.
Another illustration is out! 🦕Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum had one of the biggest necks of all sauropods. All the time while painting I was thinking about how almost ridiculous these were
Our reanalysis of the Late Jurassic Chinese sauropod Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum is out! Not the most complete sauropod neck out there, but among the longest, at c. 15m. @NHMdinolab

The amount of times I've seen a remodeled version if titanosaurus im shocked Toho has yet to bring him back with those design. He's either a sauropod cause of the name, a Spinosaurus relative or just built like a monster from monster hunterb https://t.co/7kkd3QOXPT
I'm sad that we could have gotten elephants (Palaeoloxodon) that are bigger then some Jurassic Period Sauropods and cretaceous Hadrosaurs/Ceratopsians
Palaeoloxodon antiquus (left) could have weighed up to 15 tons and went extinct 30,000 years ago
Paradox Entei and Paradox Raikou!! Based on sauropods (Entei) and ceratopsians and ankylosaurs (Raikou). #paradoxpokemon
In the shadow of Jotuns, the convergent Aesirs are often forgotten. These Titanosuchians are towering, if less imposing than the Sauropods they look so similar to. The Marshcarrier Aesir is one of the biggest, so large that small forests can grow on their back.
