If you liked seeing Triceratops visit a cave to feed on clay in I actually drew a piece in 2020 depicting a similar concept, with Einiosaurus visiting a cave to obtain salt and minerals unavailable elsewhere. Cool to see such a concept realised on screen now!

2 things I recently learned:

1) Einiosaurus was named for the Blackfoot word for buffalo.
2) In the 70s a paleontologist proposed that ceratopsian frills were fused into body muscle: https://t.co/xdFNUAb465

Hence: Buffalo lizard. He enjoys grass and goes well with bleu cheese.

I did this a while back with Einiosaurus. This kind of thing really should be done more often.

Day 13: Wild speculation
A group of Einiosaurus procurvicornis have ventured into a cave to feed on rock rich in salt and minerals, using their horns and beaks to break it off, much like elephants at Mount Elgon today.
