To celebrate Al Williamson's birthday (3/21/1931 – 6/12/2010) here's a Sally Forth/Flash Gordon homage I did. When times were tough, Al would occasionally call me out of the blue just to touch base. He was one of the greats!

When you used to draw the Flash Gordon comic strip, so a new character in Sally Forth (who Sally is smitten for) looks a lot like Buster Crabbe. And who knows, maybe Sally was inspiration for my Queen Azura.
