Today's #GameIPlayedToDeath is not particularly brilliant; the graphics are quite basic and the gameplay straightforward. However, I must have played this for hours - it's just solid entertainment.
Today's celebrity programmer is a programmer and a musician - Tim Follin. He's written a couple of games back in the day, but is of course more famous for his chip music. So in no particular order, here's my top 4 #GameIPlayedToDeath chip tune games.

Today's #GameIPlayedToDeath is Donkey Kong by Ocean. This is an officially licensed conversion and works well with the Spectrum's limitations. Good arcade conversions were the holy grail of early home computers. I think Ocean did a good job with this.

Today's #GameIPlayedToDeath is Beach Head by US Gold. I remember this being in the first batch of games I played on my 48K Spectrum - I'd previously owned a 16K model that was returned to WHSmiths under warranty.

Today's #GameIPlayedToDeath is Green Beret - a solid arcade conversion from Imagine. I particularly liked the subtle use of colours, and effective side-scrolling games were still quite rare when this was released. As ever, link on WoS below.

Today i played "Guilty Gear Petit 2" on wonderswan. i love it, it is beautiful but also extremely hard! Still an amazing 2D fighter for that era!
