Lady Jane Grey is moved from the Royal apartments at the Tower of London to the ‘house of Nathaniel Partridge' & held as prisoner.
Her one time palace would become her prison & final resting place.

1553. The Duke of Northumberland & Queen Jane's army left London for East Anglia. The royal ships were informed to wait off the coast of Norfolk in an attempt to stop Mary from fleeing if she chose to.

Granddaughter of & sister of & potential successor to cousin but a secret marriage to Edward Seymour saw her imprisoned
She had 2 sons whilst in captivity!

in 1548. Katherine Parr died at Sudeley Castle. In the days following Seymour wrote to Lady Jane Grey's parents offering to 'send my Lady Jane onto you' who would be 'most tender on her'.

Security at the Tower was heightened. Gates were locked at 7pm & the keys brought to Queen Jane.
