proud worm dads!!!
context: TimJim as lobopodians. Timmy=Diania cactiformis, Jimmy=Luolishania longicruris. Lobopodians *could be* the ancestors to Tardigrades. and the episode "Moss Piglets" is all about Tim and Jimmy teaching tardigrades to dance <3

I often don't show WIP unless Im sure I have done things right but I wanted to share the progress on the redesign of the king #cambrian radiodonts and gilled lobopodians , the first megafauna animals on earth, this from a future revision of my original cambrian size chart.
@franzanth and almost Cambrian dead wet bugs (megacheirans, radiodonts, gilled lobopodians and lobopodians)

So on top of the lobopodian-like sclerites, we have paired stubby things underneath these worms - just as lobopodians have walking legs attached under their sclerites. Here's a 3D reconstruction of the little stubs underneath the sclerites of Tabelliscolex:

The Essex Biota of the Mazon Creek Lagerstätten, during the Carboniferous period. Tullimonstrum gregarium, better known as the Tully Monster, preys upon the marine lobopodian Carbotubulus waloszeki, a close relative of Hallucigenia.

I hit 2000 followers! In honour of that, here’s a visual demonstration of the ‘eversion’ of a Gilled lobopodians mouth (Vinther et al, 2016). In this case it’s the king of the Lobopods, Omnidens amplus, feeding on several Paucipodia.

Tritonychus was an aquatic, Onychophoran-branch Lobopodian that lived in the tropical sea of Cambrian China. It had three claws on each leg. The holotype of Tritonychus is exceptionally well preserved in 3D, usually something only possible in the Orsten

Also, first illustration of Lobopodian Ecdysis?
Okay. You asked, I did it, even though it was hell to draw.
Acinocrinus stichus, “row of thorny rings”. This was a giant “Collins Monster” type Lobopodian, extremely tank animals. Acinocrinus took this to a new level.
