Ittt’s that time of the year to draw Crest Beast Lorenz again! My spooki spindly magic monstrosity with Thyrsus as a tail 😙

This gorgeous Maenad appears in a diaphanous dress (maybe silk!) which is as revealing as it is flowing.
She holds the distinctive thyrsus rod of Dionysus.
This Roman fresco is from the Casa del Naviglio in Pompeii.

It’s not perfect but here’s Dionysus from Kamigami no Asobi- he’s my favorite besides Takeru. #kamigaminoasobi #fanart #digitalart #otomegame #dionysusthyrsus
A commission for NeoMagus! A fun cross-over of Dakota, his Thyrsus mage, stumbling on the sigil of the Rookery Cabal, whose adventures can be watched on @/OccultistsA
This badass sigil was designed by Neomagus~

Day 5: Carnation/Alternative Time Period.
I’ve made enough jokes about using Thyrsus as a baseball bat to actually draw Thrysus as a baseball bat. Also 1920s uniforms are very cute i think so..
+ extra funnie doodle
Hellenistic amethyst intaglio depicting a maenad holding a thyrsus in one hand and a phallus in the other, dated to the 2nd century BCE. The intaglio is set in a modern gold ring.
I’m still deciding if I want to give him Thyrsus instead, but here is a tiny Lorenz I’m planning to make into a charm 💜
Thyrsus, Crest of Gloucester. This was a hard one to place, the little spiney bits don't make much sense, it's probably a long shot but i think this might be part of a skull, if you concentrate on the centre and look at the skulls of dunkleosteus and ichthyosaur you might see it

These maenads hold in their hand a thyrsos - fennel stalk, attribute of Dionysus (Bacchus). Bacchus turned plant into weapon, concealing iron points in the head of leaves. His thyrsus is called "spear in vine-leaves", and its point was thought to incite to madness. Tchin !
