147. Dolphin
Exclusive to only a few levels in Super Mario World, pods of these flying friends can gracefully launch themselves out of the water. They're completely docile, and are happy to let people hitch a ride on them if needed (even if it can be a bit dangerous).
🦝
146. Dino Torch
These tiny Dino Rhinos may seem cute and small at first, but they have a power that the others don't: fire breath! When they blow concentrated heat above themselves, a flame that not even they could control shoots out with the force of a blowtorch. Spicy.
🦝
145. Dino Rhino
These strolling ceratopsians live in the mountains of Chocolate Island, and are able to jump across small ledges when following prey. Similarly to Rexes, they can survive more than one stomp, taking a smaller and faster form and letting out their fire breath.
🦋
144. Reznor
These rhino-like siblings used to rule over Dinosaur Land in peace. When Bowser attacked, he placed a curse on them and forced them to work for him. They like to stand on surprisingly sturdy pinwheel platforms, emblazoned with their name in spray paint.
🦝
143. Grinder
Some castles and fortresses are built with extra defenses on the way to the boss rooms. But if Bowser's goal is really to stop Mario, he should add these extra-sharp buzzsaws everywhere he can. Or–here's an idea–why dosen't Bowser just lock the doors?
🦋
142. Rip Van Fish
Also referred to as Sleep Cheeps by no one, these slumbering sea creatures doze off whenever they find a peaceful spot. It's surprisingly difficult to get some shuteye in the Forest of Illusion's lakes, so they won't hesitate to grumpily attack if awoken.
🦝
141. Urchin
These slow but stalwart spheres show up in some sea stages, swimming serenely and silently. Several sharp spikes surround them, shooing away strangers supposedly scheming to swallow them. They're scarcely subdued by stomps, but scorching shots will suffice.
🦋
140. Blurp
These kinds of Cheep Cheeps have lips that always resemble an expression of excitement. I wonder how enthusiastic they really are about going foreard minding their own business. But have you ever seen a fish wearing swim goggles? That seems a little unnecessary:
🦝
138. Porcupuffer
BIG fish. These swimming spiky savages eat pretty much anything they can find, and follow their prey around if needed. They can be found both deep in the ocean or at the surface of the water. Unlike most Cheep Cheeps, these can survive a couple of fireballs.
🦝
137. Torpedo Ted
Deployed by the hands of their undersea bases, these mirthful missiles swim in a straight line as fast as they can. Their bodies are longer than the typical Bullet Bill to optimize for underwater travel, as well as having propellers and wide smiles.
