Here is some fabulous Frozen character design concept art. These look so gorgeous it just makes me jealous. It's amazing how good they look.
Before Warner Bros. Animation made The Lego Movie, Blur Studio was initially supposed to make one but it never happened. Here is some concept art of what could've been.
James Baxter's animation from the opening of Kung Fu Panda really still phenomenal. It makes me want to see more traditional animation incorporated in some form in DreamWorks films.
One of my favorites foreign animated movies of all time is Ernest & Celestine. It really has a touching story about friendship and message on prejudge, has two very likable main characters, and gorgeous watercolor animation. I highly recommend you to watch it.
Pitch Black was already terrifying in Rise of the Guardians, but this concept art of him makes him even more of a nightmare. Wow, this is scary.
Here is some concept art from The Lion King drawn by the talented Chris Sanders long before he worked on Lilo and Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon.
The storyboards sketches for the Belle musical number in Beauty and the Beast really are so charming to look at. I really love how both the sketches and the final film really captured the look of the poor provincial town in a fairy tale like world.
One animated movie that I'm excited to see this year is Wish Dragon. Not just because it'll be the next movie made by Sony Picture Animation after Spider-Verse and the concept art, but also because the brilliant cast and the very interesting story it has. I can't wait to see it!
