RIP Chris Achilleos. There are so many amazing pieces of his to post. A generational talent gone.
Let's get lucky! Today's blog post tackles luck points in Bhakashal, the alternative to fudge-or-die D&D!

One of the advantages of having play testers is that you can see how things work at the table. I have a custom critical system. One of the results is "attack again", which sets up the possibility of a chain of attacks. I put this system in place in October
I was reviewing character sheets before our Friday after school game and I realized that the most useful magic item the party has is the Ranger's Eyes of the Eagle.
When they found them, no one wanted them...
Super busy week but I finished a blog post on saving throws in Bhakashal.
CRUNCH ALERT!
The takeaway: saves are tied to class and ability scores, they are a bit harder, but there is save progression at every level, and some discretionary bonuses

Finished off the armor rules for Bhakashal, I have made some changes to the classification of armor in the PHB and DMG, added custom movement and initiative modifiers for heavier armor, and I've tweaked shields and added shield proficiency rules.
Details later, bedtime now...
One of the things I wanted for Bhakashal was to ensure that everyone gets to play what they want. As exciting as it was to qualify for a difficult class, missing out on what you want to play seems... wrong

Bhakashal fighters (mercenaries) are badass, formidable, flavorful and fun.

The discussion for the last day on the "mob boss" DM has really clarified something that I have been musing on for a while. For the longest time I have had a policy around here:
Don't assume what other people do or do not know about D&D
