Horror movies grew up in a big way when ROSEMARY'S BABY opened OTD in 1968, coinciding with the paperback release of Ira Levin's best-selling novel. It opened the door to a host of big-budget, classy films, as well as a new generation of writers.

Saddened to learn of the death of artist Ken Kelly, one of Warren's greatest cover painters, and the man who gave KISS their dramatic album jackets. I loved his work.
5/29/73: When I bought WEIRD MYSTERY TALES #7 I could NOT figure out what Nick Cardy was depicting on the cover, then read the book to discover it's two spectral hands reaching for a guy, from the angle through the ghost's crotch. And that's all I wanna say about that.
