Lucky Star (2007) is an extremely funny slice-of-life show about teenage dirtbags. The first couple episodes drag a bit, but they replaced the director early on and after that it cruises. Cute humor, but also deranged humor, you get it all.

I love Tenchi Muyo's production design, and the creative way it pulls from Star Wars. It's neat that in turn some of the SW: Visions anime pulled from Tenchi.
Just watched Arion (1986), a truly spectacular movie. Imagine Clash of the Titans, except our hero is out to murder every Olympian to free humanity from gods. I haven't found confirmation but it feels like an inspiration for Berserk
