No better time to share Akira Amemiya's 1st drawing on Gainax HP for Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend, when is new series SSSS.Dynazenon, another tokusatsu love letter, has its 1st PV online.

It's Evangelion 25th anniversary it's as good a time to share some drawings from the Gainax HP.

Another batch dedicated to a guest illustrator, a team actually aroa's foo composed by Masato Saito & Takaaki Wada.

They were not any guest, they were tagged as regulars so they delivered a drawing every month in 2004.

Loved their style, Mahoro and Nadia were never as great❤️

My favorite effect trick on the series were the debris flying across the screen when an object blew up.

It's as simple as using an ink splattered patern on screen.

Chikashi Kubota efforts for the Gainax HP starting in 2003 with an original drawing.

Kubota entered the studio at the request of his friend Sushio before that he started out at Xebec where he worked on Zoids & Daiguard... Is first job was on Sushio's Mahoromatic #4 (AD debut).

It's the right place to leave this, an illustration by Dead Leave's creator Imaitoonz for Gurren Lagann made for the Gainax HP during Gurren Lagann run on TV.

Back home, it's time for some more nuanced work with the animation and the setting - in a limited form but still good - before someone breaks the ice and trigger the event of the night.
