Toshiyuki Tsuru is also animation director, and helped by Kazuya Tsurumaki who got the top KA spot.

The chara design is very slick another good rep of 90' design flavor.

At the time, Tsuru was already at the top of is game mixing violent action & Noir-ish elements.

The bar/game saloon scene seems like it will lead into the design of that one famous Yojimbo episode.

Looking into V Gundam... i discovered something i would never believe, Toshiyuki Tsuru (Naruto) & Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL) working on the same OVA : Youseiki Suikoden (1993)

He is not the director but he did everything from chara design to board to unit director, it's a Tsuru gem

Let's have another round focused on a lesser known animator : Tadahito Matsubayashi.

He started out at Gainax as inbetweener on FLCL and probably left around Gurren Lagann (2007).

His major achievement at the studio was directing the Blood+ subcontracted episode (#28)...

After F91 i felt like i would watch some of the 1st candidates to extensively use 3DCG for their mechanical parts : Gonzo's Yukikaze from 2002.

I never really watched it at the time, looked like one of those suspicious Evangelion knockoff...
