From 1929 until 1941, Bull was exclusively “the man who shot Garbo.” The one exception was in 1930 when MGM execs wanted new portraitist hire George Hurrell to take her photos for Romance. She hated the experience and called Hurrell “that crazy man.” More Garbo by Bull, 1936:
