Captain America (2018)
Steve will always be Captain America. Writer Ta-Nehisi Coates, Artist Jason Masters, Colorist Matt Milla. Coates writes a perfect Cap speech, that leaders into some dramic, gut-wrenching action, skillfly delineated by Masters-Milla. 4/5

Heist, Or How to Steal A Planet
There’s a hit on Glane Breld, but he’s determinited to stay one step ahead. Writer Paul Tobin, Artist Arjuna Susini, Colorist Vittorio Astone. I love Tobin’s tone and narrative flow and it’s perfectly enhanced by Susini-Astone’s chaotic art. 4/5

Marauders (2019)
Captain Kate Pryde and crew rescue the Upstart! Writer Gerry Duggan, Artists Matteo Lolli &. Mario Del Pennino, Colorists Erick Arciniega & Federico Blee. Loys of super-swashbuckling action and a nasty cliffhanger. The art really flows and gels together. 4/5

Excalibur (2019)
Captain Briton and team Excalibur vs Morgan Le Fay and her armies. Writer Tini Howard, Artist Marcus To, Colorist Erick Arcinega. Some clever (maybe too clever) plotting ties things up both satisfyingly and disturbing. To-Arcinega are tremendous talents. 4/5

Thor (June-1966)
Hercules must find someone to fight on his behalf in “The Verdict of Zeus!" Script Stan Lee, Plot-Penciler Jack Kirby, Inker Vince Colletta. Surprisingly little action, but a good balance of the Hurcules/Thor storylines, until their eventual meeting. 4/5

Avengers (2018)
The Avengers fight to save Starbrand. Writer Jason Aaron, Pencilers-Inkers Ed McGuinness & Paco Medina, Inker Mark Morales, Colorist Jason Keith. While I enjoy the big cosmic battles, it’s hard to feel stakes without knowing more about Stabrand. 3/5

Tales to Astonish (1966-May)
The Hulk and Hercules clash in "The Titan and the Torment!" Script Stan Lee, Plot-Penciler Jack Kirby, Inker Bill Everett. A better set-up than the eventual draw, but Everett’s inks smooth-out much of Kirby’s dynamism. 3/5

Tales to Astonish (1966-May)
Namor breaks free of the Puppet Master’s controll in "When Rises the Behemoth!" Writer Stan Lee, Penciler Gene Colan, Inker Bill Everett. Everett’s inks transform Colan’s pencils into beautiful, but very different-looking art. 3/5

Adventureman
Where Adventurman’s story ends, so begins Claire Connell’s. Script Matt Fraction, Penciler-Colorist Terry Dodson, Inker Rachel Dodson. I love Fraction’s storybook opening and the Dodson’s art brings to life both the pulpy and real worlds wonderfully! 5/5

The Amazing Spider-Man (1966-May)
A new super-villain is spawned “When Falls the Meteor!" Script Stan Lee, Plot-Penciler-Inker Steve Ditko. Nearing the end of his run, Ditko’s plots and villains (The Looter) are much more pedestrian than his earlier work on Spider-Man. 3/5
