Tony Evans 1920–2001 raised in Cardiff, he worked as an engineer in Llanelli and became a full-time artist following his retirement. A regular exhibitor with the Llanelli Art Society, he experimented with various styles & was best known for his paintings of industrial Wales.
George Charlton 1899-1979 b. London, painter, illustrator & teacher, trained and later taught at the Slade School of Art. He married fellow painter, Daphne Charlton and the house they shared at 40 New End Square in Hampstead was described as an “Aladdin’s cave of pictures”.
Bob Littleford b.1945, Oldham, a self taught artist, he was initially inspired by a passing glance in a gallery window, eventually leaving his job as a refuse collector to paint full-time. His work is now much sought after & he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
