David Morris 1937-2018 b. Knaresborough, painter, printmaker & teacher, trained at Harrogate School of Art & the Slade. His preferred medium was etching & he had a long standing bond with the Yorkshire coast, preferring less well known locations like Port Mulgrave & Skinningrove.

Richard Weisbrod 1906-1991 b. Switzerland, self taught artist, settled in Lancashire in 1932 & became a key figure in the emerging art scene in post war Manchester. He lived in Blackburn during the 1950s, but returned to live in Switzerland in 1970.
Fred Cecil Jones 1891-1956 b. Bradford, studied at both Bradford & Leeds College of Art. After service in WW1, he began portraying the town & cities of Northern England accompanied by an old suitcase containing his equipment, cold sausages, half a loaf and a bottle of Guinness.

Violet Fuller 1920-2006 b. Tottenham, London, trained at the Hornsey School of Art & Stroud School of Art. Much of her work was devoted to London street scenes, she was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy and a founding member of the Society of Free Painters & Sculptors.
Ted Holloway 1926–1987, grew up in Hampshire before being conscripted as a Bevin Boy during WW2 & moving to County Durham. With thanks to @geoff_speight who noticed I’d accidentally included his ‘Testing For Gas’ (see pic. 1) among Ted Lamb’s work.
Tom Whitehead 1886-1959 b. Leeds, studied at the Halifax School of Art & the Royal College of Art, Paris. A member of the Society of Yorkshire Artists, he was know for his printmaking, primarily in etching, as well as portraits and landscapes in oils, watercolour & pastel.
