After creating my own fishy sea based horror comic series “Surface Tension” some years ago, I’m looking forward to playing the sea fishing Lovecraftian game “Dredge.”
Ordered and awaiting delivery.
I have finally seen Les Diaboliques. I’d seen so many clips from the film that I felt that I knew the ending. But I’m happy to say that 60+ years the ending still had not been spoilered for me.
That’s some record remaining spoiler free considering how versed I am in the genre.
And if you are reading this because you are a gamer. Then please check out my illustrated fantasy video game monster book.
Based on my childhood experiences of dreaming of escaping poverty by making a video game.

The publications come in gorgeously presented hardcover and soft cover editions with a nice Japanese style cover ribbon.

You can see more in the book.
“Coal Face – The Devil in the Smoke” visual style is indebted to the art of @Ray_Harryhausen.
I wanted to capture that wonderful Harryhausen/Dore style for the book. The same monster films that inspired me growing up.
I had the chance to chat with Ray Harryhausen many years ago.
Want to read something new for the week ahead?
