I particularly love the Harry Dean Stanton as Brett figure.

They’re all remarkably good and the Alien itself is beautiful. But damn, they’re increasingly tricky to get hold of in the U.K. without busting the bank.

Oops, sorry I reposted some of the same snapshots twice.

Oh well, do yourself a favour and get the book for yourself.

A previous incarnation of this story had existed some years ago as ‘Coal Face.’ After a disappointing time trying to acquire a publisher (much to my dismay/sadness) I abandoned the story but it refused to die.
So using the same setting/themes a new story arose from the ashes!

A glimpse of the art from my upcoming/in-progress book “The Devil of Bleaktop.”

A coal black smog shrouded dream of one boy growing up in the industrial past amongst forgotten communities in which ghosts and monsters now abound.

Written and drawn from my own past experiences.

It’s been a long time since I last saw it but what do people think to the Spielberg version of (The) “War of the Worlds?”
I personally think that there’s a lot of good in the movie but that it never quite reached its full potential, the scope of horror or satire of the novel.

Amazon Prime algorithms recommends...

Hmmm.... Interesting choice of company that you keep “Watership Down.”

While those ‘special people’ were smashing shit up last night I drew this panel illustration from my current book work - “The Devil of Bleaktop” - a coal dust covered ogre grumpily waking up from his nightshift down the pit.

Kind of how I felt waking up this morning.

Yes, the first illustrated tripods were rather stiff and construction crane in their appearance (shown here). The illustrations that appeared in the French edition have so much more character to them, I’m certainly much more a fan of the Corrêa renditions.
Shame about the coin.

I adore these illustrations and love the googly eyed war machines. Wells even wrote to congratulate the artist.

I wish a publisher like Folio Collection would do a good well bound hardback reprint of this out of print limited French edition (in English). It’s a beautiful tome.

Beautiful noir-ish storyboards available as an option on the blu ray of Hitchcock’s “Shadow of a doubt.”
