Your reminder that the brilliant “The Terror” will finally be available for U.K. viewers on BBC IPlayer to stream from Wednesday. Here are a selection of historical paintings and drawings depicting the doomed Franklin Expedition and its two ships HMS Terror and HMS Erebus.

Anyway...they’re great. I still miss these sorts of lovingly researched publications. Perhaps the pre-CGI/post digital production hand crafted practical way of making films back then still has an allure for me that I like to read about?
Whatever, they’re still archival treasures.

Incidentally, Wally Veevers who worked his magic on “The Keep” sadly died before completing the film’s climactic scene (and took his secrets to the grave with him). Veevers had previously created another terrific smoke/fog formed demon in the 1957 film “Night of the Demon.”

Spent the morning listening to an archival audio recording of film storyboard artist Bill Stallion reminiscing over his career in film via The British Entertainment History Project.
Stallion has worked with directors such as Lean, Henson and Mann.

And here is the figure with all of its accessories. And the entire crew lineup as well as a few other fun shots.

Very nice high detailed figures which unfortunately are hard to come by in the U.K. and tend to soar in value once the release wave is over.

And a few shots of him in action exploring the derelict spaceship and its cavernous egg chamber.
The figure comes with two helmets, one intact and one smashed to allow the facehugger to attack. And two heads, one with Hurt’s normal face and the other with the hugger attached.
