At this point, how many more arcs or movies can they squeeze in before reaching the 28th TB? Only time will tell, but remember that the first 60 volumes of One Piece are set within a single year, so they can probably keep this going awhile yet if they’re so inclined.
In fact, if Piccolo’s any judge, we can expect Goku to look rather glum throughout the movie.
The first thing we’re ever told about the timing of Cereal’s invasion is that it was shortly before the destruction of Planet Vegeta…which is another event whose chronology has become rather vague in modern DB. And we don’t even have an official year for the Granolah arc either.
Overall then, as of ch.76 it’s been approximately 6 months since Moro’s defeat, give or take. Since Moro’s defeat was roughly 3-4 months after the ToP, it’s been 9-10 months total since then, and even less time since DBS: Broly (which fits Earth’s DBs still being inactive).
After the awards ceremony held “several days” after Moro’s defeat, some undefined amount of time passes before Goichi’s goons retrieve 7-3’s head from Earth. Miza tells Jaco that “it’s been awhile”, which we might tentatively assume means more than a few days.
@Papahrf @blade_xrg @JordanLDurham @saiyajedi @Cipher_db Roshi says that after the fall, Goku’s rough/wild personality vanished, and he became a gentle, good child (the degree to which this matches his actual state when he meets Bulma is perhaps open to question)
This is right up there with the Hunter x Hunter Rose in the ranks of Jump fantasy world nuke substitutes (but, as I often say in these Dai threads, this came first)
Of course, “recent” is a relative term, and we don’t even know exactly how long after the ToP the Broly movie is set. Still, Bra looks bigger at the end of the Moro arc than she did in the film, and Pan’s downright huge, though both are still carried around by their moms.
