Let’s get this straight (because I totally misremembered before looking it up): the U12 time machine was made some unspecified point in the past. Gowasu last used his Time Ring 400 years before Zamasu became his apprentice, but neither of these events have a specific date either.

Sometime long before any of this nonsense though, the clever folks over in Universe 12 do the impossible and make an actual time machine. As a result of their time travel, several parallel timelines are created, with corresponding Time Rings that allow Kaioshin to access them.

If we’re being very, very picky (and why not?) technically Mister Popo is the only one to refer to Kami’s “parents”plural (両親/ryōshin in Japanese, meaning both parents). Kami himself only says the more ambiguous 親/oya, which could just mean only a single parent.

Though a child of the Dragon Clan rather than a Warrior Type Namekian, the green amnesiac still has enough fighting sense and funky alien abilities to become a gifted martial artist. One day he learns about the “God of Earth” gig...but that’s a story for another time.

Thanks to his oh-so-convenient amnesia, the child of Katatz has forgotten his Namekian origins and true name, but still retains knowledge of the Namekian language and vague ancestral memories of the Dragon Balls.

The Ajissa (a pun on ajisai, the Japanese name for a type of hydrangea) are the distinctive lollipop trees sparsely scattered around Namek. Dende explains how there were full forests of these pre-disaster, which the Namekians are working hard to regrow.

This catastrophic (yet rather vague) “weather anomaly” almost completely wipes out Namek’s population. Katatz of the Dragon Clan sends his child to Earth in one of their handy spaceships, promising to soon follow, yet he too apparently dies with the rest.
