After healing Marin’s face, in the manga Leona comments about how “a face is a woman’s life” and that they must always keep pretty. These remarks were left out of the anime, presumably for being too 90s.
Tune in next week for ghost Leopardon (or whoever)! But the series will be on hiatus March 15th. Instead, the first half of the spin-off “Tatakae!! Ramenman” chapter 1 will be put up.
And we see it with Saganbo earlier on in the Prisoner arc. In this case, Goku’s use of タフ/tough seems pretty specifically to mean durability (as distinct from overall fighting ability), to the point that Viz translates it as “sturdy”.
They’re releasing a Trunks figurine with the same limited palette coloring as the original version of chapter 386 . If this doesn’t lead to grey Cell/Piccolo and yellow Old Kai, I will be greatly disappointed. https://t.co/jWb2hqopve
Well, in the manga when Trunks investigates Cell’s time machine, he’s shocked to discover that it arrived from Age 788, three years further in the future than he himself came. And, uh, that’s it for the original manga.
Their tribe, which the game names the “Karinga”, descend from the hero Iko, who defeated the original inhabitant of the Karin Sanctuary: a mammoth/man hybrid somewhat confusingly called “Mothman” (apparently a very early user of Animorphalin).
Also up at the top of Karin Tower: a big magic cloud with a will of its own, which allows the pure of heart to ride it. This main cloud can bud off into smaller clouds, and Karin’s apparently in the habit of handing these smaller ones out as souvenirs.
In truth, he has two sets of water. One set is really ordinary water, but the arduous task of obtaining it serves as training with genuine results. The other is a poison, but the ordeal of overcoming its effects draws out one’s dormant power.
Karin tells Goku when they first meet that he is about 800 years old. This makes him younger than Popo (who’s at least 1,000), but older than Kami (500 or so) and way older than Dende, meaning he’s been around for at least 3 generations of Earth’s God.
In the manga, Leona gets drunk, and claims wine doesn’t count as alcohol when Maam asks if she’s alright. The anime cuts out her drinking but keeps the rest of their conversation (which therefore seems a bit strange with a sober Leona).
