I fixed some minor rendering details and moved my watermark. Gonna post the full image + a close-up because Twitter crop sucks.

This started off as a doodle but I kinda kept going. I think I have finally figured out how the heck colors work. This was directly painted with no sketch. Totally different workflow than usual. 8D

Collab I did with

He did the sketch and I colored/rendered it.

I'm really liking how her hair turned out 😊

I ended up changing the composition a lot because I wanted to use an actual location from my story.

Nothing has been properly integrated. I'm just using this to block out the overall forms. I'l be painting everything together at the end, so I have a soft lining style here.

Forcing myself to do full compositions. WIP. This is how I start my drawings. I loosely thumbnail and then adapt my thumbnail into blocked values and possible colors.

I then construct and finish the details for my characters and foreground objects.

I flatted it. Will color once I decide on a color pallet and lighting scheme.

I designed this composition mostly with line and shape focal points. I hadn't fully planned out the colors or values so this will be very experimental.

Is anyone good with gradient maps? PS vs. CSP?

This is the last NSFW piece I did ages ago. I took a break to work on seriously improving my style/linework/etc. I'll definitely be posting more on this account.

From now on, every time I finish a piece, I'm going to leave it for 1 whole week before I post.

That way I can edit it the 20 times I know I will edit it after I post.

I'm really happy with how this illustration turned out. This is a nice hybrid workflow between fully rendering and doing flats or cel.

I usually use a grey "color mode" layer to check values, but this is why I prefer working directly with color. Read tweets below for detail...

I'm really happy with how this illustration is coming along. It took me quite a few tries to nail Taviel's hair since I usually render it. His hair is supposed to have a fluffy, cloud/whipped cream looking texture. It was difficult to translate this into inks.
