I wasn't satisfied with my "friendly character" effect, so I've created this glowing green aura effect to replace it.
Any plants you've grown will use this effect. They're friendly, which means they will only hurt enemies!

After planting something in a soil plot patch, you'll PIN that patch to the earth.
This means it will remain here forever, even on future runs! You'll get some help every time you run past.

Here's a behind the scenes look at the fake lighting effect from my #roguelike #indiegame #PatchQuest.
It's made using a soft round sprite with an additive shader. I also placed it on a higher layer in my Unity scene so it renders last.

These BUBBLE BULBS let me float right over the toxic bogwater in the TOAD SHRINE.
This bubble will also absorb one hit in the next battle room!
