In the Japanese releases of Pokemon Red and Green (not the updated Blue and international Red/Blue) Koffing is depicted with hand-like fumes in both it's artwork and sprite, this not shown in any other media, outside of anime and tcg images based on this art.

This is the first time that Ho-oh makes an appearance (except for flash backs and fantasies) without Ash ever seeing it.

The episode primarily focuses on Piplup and Croagunk, Pokemon of these species were owned by Dawn and Brock during the Diamond and Pearl saga of the anime and were likely chosen as a potential callback to theirs.

According to the Gold and Silver Spaceworld demo's data, plenty of cut Pokemon were in the game or restructured in the final release. Honoguma was the fire-type starter Pokemon before Cyndaquil, and was playable during that demo. Honoguma resembles a bear.
Gorochu was stated to be cut due to balancing, so Pikachu and Raichu were all that was left in the final game. However, with the games' sequels, Gold and Silver, the evolution line would return to having 3 stages. With Pikachu gaining a pre-evolutionary baby stage named Pichu.
In July 2018, an interview with Pikachu's creator, Atsuko Nishida, stated that she was told to create an Electric-Type with two evolutions, with the final form looking strong and not cute. That second evolution would be a cut Pokemon named Gorochu.
Pokemon HOME's models are often posed to resemble that of official main series artwork (if the Pokemon/form has one). However, there is an exception. Pikachu in a Cap are in default poses rather than being posed in their official main series artwork.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, releasing Ditto from a Poke Ball will transform it into the player. However, the Ditto retains it's color, likely to be able to tell it apart from the player. This is actually accurate to generation 2, where Ditto retains its color during transform.
