Drift quickly finds a way to become sort sort of hover vehicle based on his drift vents. However, once he explains to others that it came from his studying of the texts from the Primal Vanguard and how it relates to their quest, he is immediately disqualified.

It's pointed out this is basically just him pretending his back end is his front in vehicle mode and blasting his flame jets, and that it'd be awkward to wield as a weapon, but such criticisms fall on deaf ears.

@TheNthDoctor Meh. Gage is still the dude that wrote this scene, so I don't feel too bad for Slott misusing him in their relationship...

The really frustrating thing with Superior is that if Slott just came out and *apologized* for this part of the storyline, it'd probably go a long way to actually improving his reputation with a segment of the fandom.

I do find it funny that Slott kept trying to make Screwball a thing, but every time she showed up in a new medium the general reaction was "What the heck is this? She sucks!"

Hey, everybody, remember when Chelsea Cain did a comic a few years back warning about *this very thing* and y'all got mad because you felt she was saying something that she wasn't and was raked over the coals for it?
