I'm trying to make the world of Digimon easier to understand, so I make tweets and texts. PT-BR/EN. You can support me at ko-fi.com/dataravel

The idea is that basically as understanding is dependent on the observer, what is thought of something will never be the same between two persons. Since the Adventure series is shown as a novel written by Takeru, it wouldn't be a surprise if some mistakes were made.

There are a lot of Digimon that I particularly find their artwork outside of the main ones very interesting and makes me like that Digimon a lot more.

They (Bandai and WiZ, now PLEX), however, aren't that strict when it's an already existing Digimon that is already well known. In those cases, they are much more open for the artist to draw their own interpretation of the characters with their own touch.

It was the same artist that also showed Ofanimon's true face. According to them, when it's a new Digimon, or it's an aspect of the Digimon, that will first appear not in the official artwork, they need to follow strict guidelines sketches.

I just love when out of nowhere something that I post is directly related to a new official announcement, these perfect coincidences. Venusmon is one of the various Digimon that first appeared in arts that aren't their official artwork, and the artist for this shared some info https://t.co/VwmgBkZkQp

Yes, not necessarily. Technically speaking Digimon are always adding data absorbing them from the environment and removing data in order forms. Sometimes the data absorbed grants substantial differences since this one, but that is not always the case.

Yes, exactly like that. You can in fact see that in the games, they manifest a wireframe that in them is completed with a texture. If you remove something from them, a piece of new information will be rendered, like this Ofanimon's face

Maybe Alphamon did something that Lilithmon didn't like

And that is how the things are, of course, this is mostly just different people with their own takes on how to design a Digimon, but I find it interesting how at least within some settings, that is just a reflection of something that does exist in-universe.

And in a way, that is perfect as the concept behind "X-Antibody" was really to think of "how a Digimon would look like if they were designed by someone else from nothing", in a way the X-Antibody was a good excuse to use something, that could just happen at any moment.
