Legretta the Quick (Tales of the Abyss)

Legretta is such a complex character that you really need to dig deep to learn about. At first hating a man and then loving him, she assists him with his goal, but meanwhile trained his sister to finally kill him.

Tales of Xillia (PS3; 2013)

Xillia is a game that has almost everything going for it. It touches on so many different and powerful themes, and the dramatic elements really hit hard. Milla Maxwell is a deeply inspiring protag. a truly underrated Tales game.

Tales of Vesperia (360; 2008)

Vesperia has an incredibly loveable cast, and I love the theme it tackles of morally right/lawfully wrong vs the opposite. The combat is also super fulfilling. If only the third act of the game wasn't trash it'd be even higher up

Persona Q2 (3DS; 2019)

I always loved the adorable art style, but where Persona Q was a subpar game to me, Q2 fixes almost every issue the first one had. The storylines are also so compelling and sad. Plus, all three games together?! If only it was dubbed!

Fire Emblem Fates (3DS; 2016)

Lots of people seem to hate Fates, but I really enjoy it a lot. There are definitely some cringy elements that I'd prefer to skip, but I think the characters are fun, and it's one of the most stimulating recent FE's mission wise.

Danganronpa v3: Killing Harmony (PS4; 2017)

Perhaps the craziest Danganronpa game with the most colorful cast. I ADORED v3 until the last case. In fact, if it wasn't for the last case, it'd be higher on my list. Still, a fantastic game to end(?) the series.

Tales of Legendia (PS2; 2006)

It's the black sheep of modern Tales games, but I still think there's a lot to love. The storyline is a very sad one and the lore is one of the best Tales offerers. Add some underrated characters, and it shouldn't be passed over!

Contra (NES; 1988)

The oldest game on my list, but I still adore it so much. It's difficult, but very rewarding once you start to pick up on the patterns it drops. The music and visual style is also classic. It's worth going back to if you never have before!

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (Vita; 2014)

Danganronpa 2 has maybe the most loveable cast of the series, and absolutely some of the most memorable cases out of the entire series. There are just so many memories that always stand so fresh in my mind about it.
