@MarkWitton and I examined the skeletal proportions, cranial anatomy and sedimentological setting of #Quetzalcoatlus and other #azhdarchids and concluded that they were strongly adapted for quadrupedal walking in terrestrial settings... 2/n
Our view of what #Quetzalcoatlus and other #azhdarchids were like mostly has its genesis in Witton & Naish (2008). Azhdarchids are the most distinctive and unusual of #pterosaurs, and views on how they might have lived have varied considerably (vintage images shown here!)... 1/n
