A sequence that I started drawing during the blackout, I did the paper sketches for it along with some roughs for a connected shot. The corrupt chancellor is riding a carriage drawn by people that he engineered into becoming mutant humanoid bulls.
Don't have that many new finalized stills from The God Machine to show for now, been mostly sketching out scenes and inking characters recently. With this shot I used some of the flashing backgrounds from the 1985 Vampire Hunter D OVA as a reference.
Still drawing. Newest batch of God Machine shots. Starting to draw in the scenes with side characters like the deranged guardsmen and the termite woman.
Today's finalized shots. For the backgrounds with the wavy effects, I shot various images through a glass bottle that was molded in a spiral pattern.
Redrawing the shots for the graveyard scene in The God Machine to match the updated designs.
Some recently drawn shots for The God Machine that will be animated soon. All for dialogue sequences.
A still from a similar more sketch-like short, this one was never finished though. It was meant to be a silent dark comedy that would've been animated to sync with a Hermann Kopp track. The film would've included Beckett inspired jokes about a dead fish and garish room interiors.
Sun Child first appeared as a side character in a comic serial called "A Man Of Leisure". The comic was made as a surrealist joke, with the idea being that I would submit the comic (which featured morbid existential comedy) to local newspapers as a pitch for a Sunday strip.
Another shot. Inspired by the surrealist set design in The Face Of Another and Blind Beast.
Recently finished God Machine shots. Realized that most of the content I've been working on was for the film's finale, so now gonna try to focus more on the earlier portions of the film.
