A handful of the more recently completed shots from The God Machine.
An assortment of shots from the current draft of The God Machine, my upcoming feature-length project. Anti-capitalist surrealism with influence from Japanese and Russian underground film. I also attached a behind the scenes photo of the drawing process.

Remembered a quote by Beckett while doing some touch-ups on The God Machine's screenplay. While the plot points in The God Machine shifted to being more of an abstract political allegory, felt that it would still be fun to post as a small point of absurdist inspiration.
Since 12 OZ Mouse is trending again with the new season, I thought this would be a fun little anecdote to recount in thread form. My dad was an audio engineer who recorded some music for the original series, and I was around to hear the music for the show be mixed before airing.
New scenes in progress from The God Machine. A warped wide angle type shot and a David Lynch inspired animated photo collage sequence.
From some of the recent scenes I've drawn for The God Machine. Starting to animate some of the scenes set in the underground mines, crossing personal influences from Kōbō Abe's "Pitfall" (1962) with the deadpan absurdity of Evgeny Yufit's necrorealist movement films.
Some collages from back in January that I never got to posting.
Design reference sheet for a character I conceived in mid-2019, inspired by The Gerogerigegege album Moenai Hai. For some reason, I mentally associate the dark ambient tracks in that album with fishing villages from the 1960s.
