All right #WritingCommunity. So medieval machine guns. Were they a thing or not?
Yes, They were!
Multi-barrel volley/machine guns existed as early as the 14th century in Asia and Europe... and in Asia, flamethrowers even go back as early as the 12th century.
@ParkerMcCoy7 Thank you so much, Parker!

For #WorldPhotographyDay, I would like to send out a thanks to those who enable us to "see" the world through different eyes. Either by showing us far away places, or just things we believe we knew all about as they are seen through different eyes. You people are an inspiration.
The length of thread was measured in ells, because people collected the thread on their lower arm, which happens to be roughly 1 ell long.
There used to be children's songs about it: "Spin, spin little wheel, spin for me a thread many, many hundred ells long."
@Galdrafodr I asked a fellow author who suggested a wonderful artist on deviantart.
I started by trying to do some (!) art myself. Meaning: I put my limited "skills" to paper and let vectoring software fixed it for me.
Right is her's, left is mine ;) She did an amazing job.
Ah, okay. It's Scrivener, that's how.
Upon saving a scene, Scrivener keeps spamming invisible formatting tags that close a section in italics that isn't even there. Tons of useless "\i0"s inserted everywhere.
Why thank you, Scrivener. What would I ever do without you?
