I've just finished The Book of Gothel by @MaryMcMyne - wow! I adore beautiful fairy tale retellings with strong women and this one is a gem. The evocative imagery inspired me to paint a couple of illustrations that I'll share soon. In the meantime, here are the final thumbnails.

I've been playing with composition and guides, and with some helpful feedback (thanks all!) have the line art done for my next book cover!

I did spend an hour this morning wandering around my kitchen with my iPad working on the girl's face 😅 so I expect that might change again!
