A few Ken Adam concept drawings for his film sets. The War Room from Dr. Strangelove is definitely the most iconic... and it's basically just 3 simple shapes: the triangular room, big square panels and circular table. It's like some weird golden-ratio type perfection.
One poster you can find in the first town, which stuck out to me, is this bit of propaganda depicting a monster taking off with a colonist. It's pretty much a one-to-one copy of a real American World War I poster depicting Germans as "mad brutes".
The Outer Worlds has a lot of nice posters in it, although I've seen relatively few in-world, so to speak, which is a pity! Maybe more of the things you see in loading screens will pop up in different towns later on. Anyway, here's a few posters not shown in that RPS article!
I'm writing about worldbuilding & in-game posters, billboards and advertisements. What games do you feel use that stuff effectively? What are some of your favourites - maybe something funny!? I feel immersive sims excel at this. These are: Observer, Wolfenstein, Prey and Control.
Senior Environment Artist Ayi Sanchez designed these awesome modular consoles for Wolfenstein: TNC's submarine hub https://t.co/4Kbo2UaCJH https://t.co/FqfXH3ra5u
I haven't played Control yet, but I have been writing something cool on the game's architectural influences... so here's a few related images! Top marks if you can guess each of the buildings (brutalism quiz, yey)!
I've a weak spot for the 'Trapped in a monolithic alien megastructure' genre...
It has its flaws, but I actually think Event Horizon gives Alien a run for its money in the cool (but probably extremely impractical) space corridor department... Images from: https://t.co/cgMhg9xAOi
