I was going to try to make a cave environment but realized I needed some rocks. For the sake of reusability I made the whole thing procedural. Took a lot of tweaking and compromises, but it's really satisfying to play with now :) #b3d
Testing an idea: model a perspective sphere on the camera using from edges from a UV Sphere, sketch an environment from the camera view with Grease Pencil, and then model the sketch. The idea is to do another sketch overlay each day I work on it. Super happy with the results.
My Moxxi illustration from #Borderlands 3 is finally complete. Ended up taking longer than expected, but it felt good to dust off the ol' 2D skills. Haven't done one of these just for myself in ages. On to the next adventure!
Lines and flats finally done. Now off to the shading. The lineart looks really satisfying, somehow the colors always take away from that o.o
A viewer requested a rigging stream with channel points so I spent 6 hours learning how to make the Imp from Doom shrug. #b3d
#SculptJanuary number 29, "Crumble" started out with a golem, and turned into this Mines of Moria situation when I started playing with lights. Duplicating rocks adds a lot of free detail, multiplying work already done. This one was fun. #SculptJanuary2020 #b3d
Theme for day 14 of #SculptJanuary was "Crystalline" and the first thing that popped into my head was one of those small lizards from Dark Souls. Never sculpted so many flat faces before and I think I'm in love with the "original normal" brush option now. #SculptJanuary2020 #b3d
#SculptJanuary Day 10 - "Old". Had a bunch of ideas for this one but Carl from Up! seemed the most interesting to sculpt. Need to work on keeping objects separate more, and incorporating more modeling where appropriate. #SculptJanuary2020 #b3d
