@BlackSeaAMS Japanese Twitter was having a field day around Christmas about episode 9 of Brain Powerd. No joke.

@TheOtaking @TitoHabif Great key animation work by Toshiaki Hontani here, he's also responsible for many of the best effects cuts of the late 1980s, being featured on works like Megazone 23, Battle Royal Highschool, and Akira! Tatsuyuki Tanaka did the human stuff below, with Hontani doing the effects.

@MatteoWatz Those ones can be really nice. I mean yeah, sometimes the poses break the girl's backs, but damn did he ever justify my Mia Alice waifuism.

@MatteoWatz The MZ23 section in Hirano's Character Works is one of the weirdest parts of my collection. Zombie Shogo and Yui with weird tube arms for some reason are some of my favorites. He could draw well, but a lot of the work he submitted seemed oddly rushed and careless.

Pretz got a lot of love in the character acting department! Lots of little bursts of incredible expressiveness, combined with awesome solid drawings all the way through on every character. It was modestly animated overall, but you could tell it was by choice due to the execution.
