@AmigaL0ve When I got my Amiga, I revisited Ultima's IV and V .. somehow managed to *completely* miss the Dungeon Masters. 😐 I don't think I got back into RPG's until I found Hired Guns (which was kinda Sci-Fi RPG-lite.) And that one *totally* hooked me. 😁 Gorgeous game.
@retroarcadian IK+ is still and excellent game.
I kinda like coming back to the older C64 version of it.
Maybe it's so I don't have to deal with the headbands.
😋
@pitto @JudgeDrokk For me, sure, I may have played Arkanoid with it.
But the real reason I got it was Revs. 🏎️
That was my first racing sim, and I was straight away addicted to Formula 3 racing. Then Revs+ came out, and I now had four more tracks. Love it. 😎
@_arikz @SyntaxErrorSoft Another World is a cool game. There was nothing like it, and the rotoscoped character graphics were an amazing thing to see. I loved the way they dumped you into this completely alien world and have to work out how to avoid the many many hazards about the place. 👍
@JudgeDrokk Oh yeah. I used to play Arkanoid with the old Paddle.
It gets to be a challenge when the potentiometer is starting to get a bit jumpy. (Needs some contact cleaner.) 😁
@JudgeDrokk I wonder if this is the kind of mischief young Vogon's get up to at the weekend?
😋
@michaelberry Obviously something that makes the design and programming more difficult, so you have to actually invest in solving this. Whether it's detecting differences in the rigid-ness of the object, electrical conductivity or whatever. This could surely be solved if you cared to solve it.
@FlightDreamz Yeah. I didn't know about Pinball Power / 3D Pinball until a year or two ago. It had completely passed me by. It's a very good game. One of the best 8-bit pinball games IMHO.
I find the ball speed a bit odd over the flippers. But maybe less of an issue if I switch to NTSC? 🫢
@JamesPond47 @fgasking Yeah, it's nice that there were options to fight to get past some people, and there were also passive options to get past them. Most games were much more linear back then. 😁
@davidmt Keystone Kapers is an excellent game.
I don't know anyone with an Atari2600 these days. But fortunately some good and talented people decided to port it over to the C64 in 2019. 👍
