Okay, so it took a while, but I was able to beat Suzi (the original tape spells it that way, the hacked disk version says Suzie.) So how about Melissa? 🤔 Seriously? It's too hot there too? Look girl, I just wanna play some cards. 😐 Are you trying to distract me?

It seems that, in the Artworx poker game (C64) the players will pretty much bluff at random. That used to fool me as a kid, but now I think I understand the strategy it uses.. which is to try to spook me at random. Fun fact: I did not know what a teddy was back then. So funny. 😁

So, now that I've worked out that Samantha Fox is a better poker player than I am, it was time to go back to the first poker game I had. 👍 First up is Suzie.. ah, I think she's having air-con problems at her place too. 🤔 No, Suzi, leave the jeans on. Just put on a fan, okay? 😐

As was often the case for this era of games, the UI design is quite terrible. You have to actually wait for it to demo, then show the screen where it hints that there *are* bonus levels. 😮 If you have a short attention span, you'd just be playing the arcade level-set forever. 😋

We had The Hulk, and later on this Spiderman game. We never had much hope of completing them, the puzzles were obscure enough. But I did enjoy seeing the various Marvel villains about the place, and messing with them - or failing to. 😁

@Lord_Arse I loved Super Sprint, and this seemed the natural off-road progression. 😁 (What's worse, I've worked out how to get hold of a proper arcade spinner and a wee steering wheel to go on it.. I need to play this properly again.) 😋

@rexthedogge I got well hooked on this series.
Each new edition they brought out some new feature, and it was always an improvement enough that I had to have it. 😁

@JudgeDrokk Yup. I had a Kickstart A500 for years. 👍
I only upgraded to an A1200 later on, because I was addicted to Hired Guns, which was hard-drive installable.. and had the most satisfyingly cool grenade-launcher sounds if you had 2MB ChipRAM. 😁

@tobobobo Amazing how many graphic/design elements were carried along from this one to Empire. 🤔 They're by the same author, but I wasn't aware of Comet Game at all before now. 😁

I found the game to be real frustrating at first. Then, as I tried more opponents, I discovered it was just because I was picking the advanced players to play against. 😁 If I choose Harry Potter, or one of the other newbies, it's a whole lot less anger-inducing, believe me. 😁
