@michaelberry It's almost as tricky as in the good old days, when there was a goalie to dive in the wrong direction. 😉
@PaulieHughes Loco was great. But then he did Suicide Express, and everything was suddenly space-age and super-speed. 😮
@Lord_Arse There's a part of me that wants to play the C64 version of Golden Axe. But now I have such easy access to the genuine arcade game through MAME.. it almost feels like valuable effort would be taken to try it. 😋
@monteboyd You might be able to tell that I'm a fan of the top-down racer. 😁 IMHO Championship Sprint had too many tracks that were difficult to get around. If they get too narrow and windy it really can become frustrating to drive. (Like flying around in the Airwolf game.) 😋
@monteboyd Then, to complicate things, there was also Championship Sprint. Basically the same game with a few different tracks. I haven't been able to work out if one was for a different region, or was done at a different time. It's exactly the same game, apart from the tracks.
@monteboyd (Once more I get to lament how there are no decent spinning-wheel controllers for the home computer. I do miss that from the arcade.) 🤔
@monteboyd But then there was Super Sprint, many years later.
Everything changed then.. and yet stayed strangely similar. 😁
@LeanderAbydenus @JamesPond47 @gamesyouloved Yup. There were definitely things in the Last Ninja series where you had to remind yourself "this isn't ninja-like, this is in here because it's a game." 😐 But those traffic lights. 😮 They should have done more to make them glow. Use that light-green and light-red too. *sigh*
@TheGavNinja @niinegames @C64Reloaded So hard to pick a Fred Gray favourite. 🤔 Mission AD is very cool. As is Infodroid (though you can only change it when docked.) Batman is one I could listen to for ages. Same with Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Shadowfire, Enigma Force, Bounces, Nodes of Yesod, Mutants, etc.. 😁
