@8BitShowAndTell @8bitadc The vast majority of Mastertronic disk releases I've seen are in this thread I think. 😁 But that's fine. My memory of Mastertronic releases, back in the day, was watching the burner turbo-loader as they loaded up off of tape. That was part of the Mastertronic experience. 😁
@Pixelskaya @grumpygamer The fans are idiots.
It's got a well defined art style to it.
They haven't gone into this tentatively and given us up-rez'd versions of the original characters. They've gone for something opinionated and bold. I'm a little surprise by it, but I'm not gonna whine like a 5-yr-old.
@atari_st_fan I think I first played Speedball 1 as a two-player game on a friends Atari ST. Excellent fun stuff. 👍
Of course, the first question that pops into my mind today: did it have ice cream? 🍦
😁
@FloppyDeepDive The arcade version, played in MAME is still fun.
I think I spent half my time being distracted by whether there were any differences between the Budweiser, Suntory, and Rootbeer versions of Tapper. (Spoiler: There isn't.. It's just graphics and some text blurbs.) 😎
@fuzzweed Yeah, I had a game on the old Commie that used a system like that. It was called "Pavloda", which is such a cool name. 😁 (Like pavlova, the desert.)
The benefit to us: we could make a bad copy and, if you didn't mind rewinding the tape a little.. forty times. I would work. 😋
@ausretrogamer ..that was a joke on pre-emptive multitasking. Get it? 😋 (Win9x wasn't pre-emptive and Amiga was, and it was sooooooo nice. Not that it mattered because C= was going to form a big crater in the ground.) 😮
Haven't tried Pimiga's yet. Got WinUAE on every PC in the house so.. 😁
@ausretrogamer Okay. Just don't go off pre-emptively. The girls don't like that.. Erm.. so I've heard. 😁
@ausretrogamer Dude! You don't have time to like this tweet! There's a whole bunch of Pi-miga-ing to be done! 😡
@ausretrogamer I give you maybe six to eight hours before you're able to drag yourself away from this one. 😋
