@C64Reloaded The C64 version of Buggy Boy is stunningly good.
It's not like any other racing game on the C64. (Well, it's more of a collecting/racing game.) But it's got immaculate presentation, all five tracks from the arcade, and oodles of playability. 👍
@Lt_Ironfox This is, the kind of faux-high-res that the Project 64 emulator gives you. 😁 Sometimes is makes it kinda obvious what's a bitmap, and what is 3d polygons, taking away a little of the magic. But it makes sniper shots so much easier when you can see far-off detail. 🙂
@Lt_Ironfox I'm stuck in the snow .. but a few explosions will warm the place up. 😉
@MarkRJones1970 Mmmmm.. Denton Designs.
I always did like their stuff .. except Transformers (but that was like the Star Wars prequels: it took me a wee while to realise I wasn't supposed to like it.) 😋
@RMCRetro @Codemasters For some reason I thought BMX Simulator was a Mastertronic title. At least, that's how I remembered it. 🤔 But it was a long long time ago that I had this on tape, so I guess it must be my first Codemasters game. 👍
@rexthedogge Some excellent Wakelin artwork for Psycho Soldier there. 👍 Dragon Ninja (aka Bad Dudes) was quite a good conversion IMHO. There was an arcade game at the local chippie, so I did get many chances at rescuing President Ronnie. 😋
@rexthedogge I had the poster for that game .. put it up on the wall. My mum was *not* happy with it. Can't for the life of me think why. 😋
@Lord_Arse I can't remember if I saw Trap Door or Popeye first.
Either way, Popeye was one of the few C64 games based on animation/comic's that really managed to keep that animated feel to the characters. 👍
