@TheRetroManCave I have the two-pack CD of Sam 'n Max, and Day of the Tentacle. One of the best compilations I ever got. 👍

The blue soldiers have rifles, and sometimes shoot. This is where you have to have lightning-quick reactions. Have the volume up, and duck the second you hear a shot, even if you haven't spotted it yet. It's the only way to survive. And learn to handle the jump-kick guys too. 😁

You want a game on the C64 that *really* tests your reactions? Green Beret is the one. It's a very good conversion of the arcade game. (AKA Rush n' Attack.) 🤔 But I think this one plays fast. Don't even try it if you're not on your a-game. It'll eat you up and spit you out. 😋

But I still want to like it..
I dunno. Maybe it's that I love the idea of a world where all the space-stations are run by a clone of Ilea from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. 😁 (And kudos to Bob Stevenson for the excellent loading picture.) 👍

Had a day off work yesterday. (Too many vacation-days built up.) 😐 So I took a little time for Empire. Sometimes called the "2d Elite", except it's not really. Maybe if you had a fever-dream of Elite and early Flash Gordon melded into one you might get there. It's interesting..

Who knew that there was a DOS version of SuperFrog? I had a demo of it way back in the day, as my girlfriend really liked the game, but she had a PC. It's actually a pretty good port. The controls feel *almost* the same. Nothing I can pick out that I don't like. It's well done 👍

@rexthedogge I mean, seriously, this game has so much top-notch art design going on. And with the SID chip doing its old-timey harpsichord sounds, it all comes together so well. 👍

@rexthedogge Defender of the Crown is excellent on the C64. (I'm another one who prefers it to the Amiga version.) 😎 But I was never any good at it. I'd usually go down to one territory pretty quickly, then I'd have no chance. 😐 Now I can easyflash and cheat. So much easier that way. 😋
