@ArtstateDesigns Ha! I was gonna reply to this on the same day, but I wanted to get screenshots. Now I've gone though many different demos and captured screenshots for over 15 of them. 😁 I can see what you mean about the selector screen, but it never bothered me. That mouse sensitivity though..
@SNUKgaming @Amiga_Square Now I see what others have suggested, I'll mention a few more old Amiga favourites:
Uridium 2 (this is how you do a horizontal shooter)
Pinball Dreams (love that old-school LED-segment display)
The Sentinel (same as the C64 one, but high-res, and fast!)
BC Kid (hes got a temper!)
Some of the 'bad' tiles have been deployed too liberally IMHO. These days I would much rather play the Remember-trained version, where you can neutralise any of the colours you want to, letting you really tweak exactly how hard it is. (Those slow/blocking/void blocks especially.)
@CommodoreBlog Huh.. so they managed to take the C64 version, and make it look and sound like the Apple II version. 🤔 Success?
@SNUKgaming @Amiga_Square Let's pick some that I suspect no-one else would be choosing: JetPilot, Fighter Duel Pro 2, CyberSphere, and Monsters of Terror (a very cute Wizard of Wor game)
@SNUKgaming @Amiga_Square Ooooh .. this could be a big list. 😁
How about if I start with Zeewolf 2, Battle Squadron, Ghosts 'n Goblins, and Chaos Engine.
@JazRignall Skyfox was such amazing game. I love the Oliver Frey cover, with the jet banking like that. (Funnily enough, you can't do that in the game.) 😁 But it looked so amazing at the time. One of the first I saw with big character-based enemies that zipped around the screen so quick. 👍
@gregnacu @SyntaxErrorSoft I'm not sure I ever saw the C64 version. (Which is odd, coz I had one for so darned long.) 🤔 I did enjoy the heck out of the arcade game though. It had this cool art style to it which really appealed to me. (And getting that machine gun.. Yeah!) 😁
