@graciousfilms1 @gamesyouloved @ausretrogamer I don't think I would've really cared, but I'd already heard how much cooler it sounded on my friend's A1200. (The grenade launcher in particular sounded really cool, and the weapons had more variety in the shot sounds.)
But yeah, and excellent game, esp with multiple players. 👍

It was Kickstart 1.2. And it was where I first pixeled-up my mouse-shape mouse pointer.

But I had to upgrade to the A1200, because I was trying to play Hired Guns with two external drives and the continual reminder I could have better SFX.

@SupernerdsT All it needs is intelligent opponents.
And that was the main bullet-point they were raving about in the previews at the time.
Then it didn't happen.
And everyone could be defeated with a jump-kick.

@hayesmaker64 I finally worked out The Eidolon.
Now that I know you can switch the SuperCPU between 1x and 20x speed on the fly, I found that you can do all the loading at 1x speed, and switch to 20x for the gameplay. (Works with the Onslaught release.) 👍

@hayesmaker64 Project Stealth Fighter looks beautiful and smooth.
But your fuel depletes at 20x the normal rate, so get to fly for a few brief minutes before your tanks empty and you crash. 😐

@MarkFGrogan I just love The Chaos Engine.
I'm not sure I can articulate why because, at the end of the day, it's just an 8-way run-and-gun shooter. But it's got such cool characters, and it's got such style. 👍

@AmigaL0ve 🤔 Not sure I explained it well. For SpyHunter, the main joystick plug goes into port 1, moves the car and operates the gun. The secondary plug goes into port 2 and operates the smoke/oil.

Swap joystick ports and it will work for games that use space as a secondary weapon too.

@shxttyartist @romerogamesltd I even have 007 GoldenEye and Perfect Dark on the N64 emulated on Windows with a bit of a hack-ish WASD and mouse-look. They're beautiful old games, but I hate hate *hate* playing FPS games with console analogue-stick controls. 😡

@C64TimeLine I keep forgetting that those International Soccer guys have much less of a flat-top look to the hair when they're directly facing the screen. (I think they should have gone for a flatter look. It would fit better with the way they look at other angles.) 🤔
